Dog leashes have remained the same for decades. A user has either a clip connected to a harness or a string, or a dedicated retractable leash, per dog.
The Intention of this project is to locate the problems with current retractable leash devices and design a solution.

The best way to understand a product is to use it- Design of the retractable dog leash has matured to its greatest extent to keep the price as low as possible while still providing customer satisfaction. There are still problems:
Very little tension on spring drive
Terrible repairability - No screws
